Hey, my name is Iain.
(like Ian, but with an extra “i.”)
Great to meet you!
I’m passionate about helping people (like you!) to find alignment, balance, joy and purpose in their lives through personal coaching.
I love people, and care deeply about my clients and the work we do together. I know that life is hard between the news, the algorithms, and the real world needs to balance family, friends and self.
I’m committed to this work, and to helping you to grow, love yourself, and achieve your goals whoever you are, whatever they are and wherever you’re starting from.
I know it can be hard to get started, to ask for help, so I’ve shared a bit more below about my experience, and where I’m coming from to help give you a taste of how I see this work.
If you’d like to set up a free consultation call to get to know each other and decide if you’d like to work together, please sign up here.
You don't need fixing because you're not broken.
I bring my whole self to my coaching and always do my best to act with integrity, kindness, and respect for my clients and myself. I connect with clients from all backgrounds, races, ages, ethnicities and sexual orientations. Below is a bit more about my background, my story and why I coach men.

My Story
For the first part of my career I worked in Sales in a variety of industries including Advertising, Tech, and Wellness. I was consistently a top performer but despite financial success I wasn't happy. Sometimes the universe has a way of kicking you in the ass when you're avoiding a change you need to make, and that happened to me in the form of a divorce. I knew I needed to make some changes in my life but wasn't sure where to start.
Reaching out for help was one of the hardest things I've had to do. Luckily I had an excellent therapist and supportive work environment at the time and began to learn the tools to pick myself up by my bootstraps. I took a coaching certification course through Headspace Training Institute and found the work deeply rewarding and a natural fit for me. I loved helping others find their "why" and seeing the light in their eyes when they had those "aha!" moments.
In my daily life I continue to do my own work, trying to walk my own talk. I balance my work building this business with my creative outlets - I’m also a woodworker and love building furniture. I have a regular meditation practice and I’m a big nerd who loves to read sci-fi, fantasy, and books on personal development and business. I play video games and d&d and also love rock climbing, grabbing a beer with friends or hiking in the woods. I’m always learning, always curious, and passionate about the work I get to do with my clients every day.
I live in northern California with my girlfriend Jackie and our dog Watson who is mostly the goodest boi.
My interest in men's coaching
We as a society are redefining what masculinity means in the 21st century. After the Me Too movement, “toxic masculinity” and years of being told that men and masculinity are the problem many men are questioning what it means to be a man.
How do we live with integrity, honor, and purpose? How do we protect our loved ones, provide for them, and contribute to our communities? How do we respect the differences we see in others and appreciate the similarities we share? How do we act as equals, supporters, and leaders in times of change? How do we show up for ourselves when we’re alone? And how do we care for ourselves while serving in our roles as fathers, sons, friends and family members too? We are human and we all need connection, intimacy, love, and things that bring safety, joy and community.
Most of the time, we’re focused on the daily tasks of living. Working, romantic relationships, and finding moments of joy. We’re not asking these bigger questions all the time. But the work of coaching often comes back, at its core, to what we value and what we prioritize. And in those moments, in addition to asking ourselves what skills we need to learn, what tasks we need to accomplish and what systems we need to set up to be successful, we must also ask ourselves, “how does the man I am proud of approach this challenge?”
